Deacon James Mason is a life-long member of Saint Peter Parish, Hancock, MD.

By trade, he is employed as a Accounting and Treasury Administrator for the Keystone Fruit Marketing a division of Progressive Produce LLC., in Greencastle, PA.

Deacon Jim was first inspired toward his religious vocation by Father Joe Cosgrove (a former pastor of St. Peter Parish). It was Father Joe who “planted the idea”. Some time later, Father John Lesnick(another former Pastor, here) passed on some information session materials to Jim; and, Father Jack Lombardi, (current Administratorat St. P's) along with Father George Limmer (Pastor Emeritus of St. Mary Parish, Hagerstown, MD, and Deacon Jim's Spiritual Director) kept him “keeping on”.

When asked about his hobbies, Deacon Jim quips “Before formation, when I had free time, I enjoyed theatre, antiquing, and volunteer work for many local not-for-profits”. ..which included:  the local Interfaith Services Coalition, Red Cross, United Way, and the Frostburg State University Alumni Association; just to name a few!
